This guide is an invitation to discover one of the most iconic places in Sicily and in Italy as a whole, an attempt to venture into the nooks and crannies that hold the lesser-known stories of the volcano, while not neglecting the many legends that have fueled its myth. Etna contains within itself, in its countless layers, the fashions and trends of thousands of years of folklore: here mythological dreams, Christian saints and devils, the old and undefeated glories of folk horror and even extraterrestrials all meet together at the same time. The book includes, as an attachment, the imaginative map of Etna with an indication of the places where the events told take place. A journalist, he writes for the «Quotidiano di Sicilia» and is editor-in-chief of the magazine «Move in Sicily». He has written for the «Corriere del Mezzogiorno» and other regional newspapers. After completing academic studies in Contemporary History, with a thesis on Philip K. Dick, he alternated his passion for genre literature with analysis and study of the publishing sector. He curated a column dedicated to monsters in literature and horror cinema for horror.it, and his stories have appeared in the magazine «Parallaxis», on Daniele Barbieri's blog (labottegadelbarbieri.org), and within the weird fiction volume Strane visioni by Edizioni Hypnos. He continues to work as a journalist, but dreams of flying saucers made from wheel rims and monsters wearing the coppola. For Palindromo he has published, with illustrations by Chiara Nott, Fantastic Creatures of Sicily and the Contemporary Bestiary of Sicily.
