Sanguinaccio is a chocolate cream typical of Carnival, perfect to accompany chiacchiere. Despite the name, it does not contain blood, but combines two types of chocolate with a spicy touch of cinnamon.
Mix the flour, cornstarch, sugar, unsweetened cocoa, vanillin, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Pour in the whole milk in a stream, stirring well to avoid lumps.
Transfer the mixture to the heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Continue stirring for 10-15 minutes until you obtain a thick cream.
Add the butter and chopped dark chocolate, turn off the heat, and stir until completely melted.
Cover the cream with cling film and let it cool.
Before serving, add chocolate chips or candied fruit to taste.
